Have you ever wonder how and when Cosmos Community started in the Philippines? Join me, I’ll share my wonderful journey.

Hi there, this is Ken!
I’ve been with Cosmos for many months now, I’ll be celebrating my 1st year this coming November.
I never thought I would get so passionate about it.

Before I started to collaborate with Cosmos, I studied their platform, project, and the core values carefully. I invested my time and effort reading Cosmos related articles/news, trying to understand how does it work. During those times, I was looking for a decentralized long term project, and luckily I found COSMOS!

I’m a fan of Cosmos concept, the idea of decentralized internet of blockchain is really amazing! Scalability, Usability and Interoperability. Are the keywords!

After this initial phase of study, I get in touch with some Cosmos Community people, and I officially become part of the “Today in Cosmos” translators team on November 2019.

Before the end of 2019 I took part of a short video, Happy New Years Cosmos Community, to send my warm greetings together with the Cosmos Family.

Right now, I’m transcribing and posting on Twitter, and in all social medias we have the contents which are directed to the Filipino community. To do so, I can count on the support of the “TIC” Today in Cosmos family that helps and guide me to improve more and more.

Day by day I am always more motivated to do my tasks: Translating weekly and TIC (Today in Cosmos) update report, to make sure that I keep the Filipino Community up to date about our project and any upcoming events.

In February 2020, I decided to create a Community Cosmos Philippines Telegram, which can count on 400 active members. More than the daily/weekly update, I’m sharing in my channels pop-up quizzes and surveys.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting my fellow citizen will support Cosmos Philippines, so seeing their response it’s a heart-warming feeling.

In March 6, 2020, I was invited to share my knowledge as one of the speakers held in JMC Campus Devcon. Most of the audience, IT Students, seemed very interested in Blockchain technology and my presentation!

I also sent them cosmos T-shirt souvenir and some cash on how to buy ATOM using centralized exchanges.

I am blessed because I am surrounded by amazing people here in Cosmos. What more can I wish for?

“A dream does not become reality through magic;
it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.”
These words always had a big impact for me. Make me remember the first day when I got myself involved in crypto space, on how I studied the cycle of Blockchain.
Thanks to my experience, I was also featured in Cryptoskillset as the Philippines’ First Blockchain Marketer.

Aside from Cosmos, I’m part of the IRISnet community and I actively collaborate with other long-term vision projects
Despite of this pandemic crisis we are globally experiencing, I saw people’s interest on my work growing day after day: for example, one of my Facebook Live in Philippines Local Language, “Cosmos and IRISnet AMA”, surprisingly reached 2200 viewers.

So if you think Cosmos is not very active here in the Philippines? I guess you’re wrong!

As Filipinos mostly used Facebook rather than Twitter and other social media I created my Facebook Page, Blockchain Network Philippines, from scratch: now the page counts 1900+ followers.

I’m the owner and co-founder of the Blockchain Network Philippines, together with my team, I run growth hack marketing, I give support on building brands, social media marketing etc.

I wake up with determination and go to bed with satisfaction, a wise man said, “Don’t be AFRAID to start over again. This time, you’re not starting from this scratch, you’re STARTING FROM EXPERIENCE.

Some time ago I posted a tweet about my communities, and we reached more than 300 crypto supporters and blockchain enthusiast to join our private group chat about blockchain.
I remember back then, they supported me as well to become a Cosmos Community manager via voting on a pool in the Cosmos main telegram group.

Even though some community members were against this voting system, I did not mind them at all.
Instead, I keep focusing on my job and improving my skills, to bring blockchain mass adoption in my own country.

One of my goals is to help building the first blockchain Filipino project on top of Cosmos SDK.

I hope Cosmos will support me more to fulfill my dreams, as I want to educate more Filipinos about blockchain and how it works, why we should use it and what are the benefits.
I will also lead wisely my community to the right path and to avoid pump and dump or scam projects.
